PAYMENT SECURITY
Ordering and customer protection
Ordering via e-commerce platforms is regulated by Law 2251/1994, along with its corresponding modifications. The ordering process is completed by filling in a special form, after accepting all the terms of the contract.
Security
Taking the importance of securing your online transactions into consideration, our company has taken all the necessary precautions to provide payment services with the utmost security degree.
Securing privacy of data transfer
To ensure confidentiality of data transfer, we use the EV SSL-128bit encryption protocol. The system has been implemented in collaboration with Thawte, which specializes in transaction security.
Encryption
From the beginning to the end of your online session, all the information and personal data is encrypted using the 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption protocol. Every time you pay with Viva, all communication between your computer and Viva's systems is encrypted using Thawte's 128 bit EV key (the most recognized cryptographic key issuing company). Specifically, every time you send information to the system your browser encrypts it, using an encryption key of 128bits and then sends it to the system. The Viva system decrypts the information it receives, using the same key (predetermined when you start your connection to the service) and then processes it. Viva systems send you information using the same encryption process.
Transaction privacy
Viva Payment Services SA is an electronic money institution authorized and regulated by the Bank of Greece. The same basic principles of conventional banking apply to Viva. All information transmitted by the cardholder to Viva is confidential. As part of our PCI-DSS certification, our company in collaboration with Viva has taken all necessary measures to use it only to the necessary extent, in the context of the services provided.
